THEMATIC STUDY OF WATER(A PROJECT WORK)

Class 5 was assigned to make a project on the thematic study of water, meaning how the water drains from mountains to plains in their own country Pakistan. Students did a great work; first of all they made mountains from clay then put ice cubes on their tops and when that ice melted ,water drained down showing how the water reaches from mountains to flat and lower lands. Everyone liked their project and teachers also admired their hard work. Students learnt a lot of good things from that .It was a an excellent activity which taught students a lot about the study of water.

THE YELLOW COLOUR DAY!

There was a yellow colour day that was organized for the classes Pre-nursery till K.G. On this day the children were told to wear yellow clothes and bring yellow toys to school. The children performed different role plays and played together. Games were arranged by the school to make children enjoy even more. The parents were also called and they showed full enthusiasm by participating in the games with interest. Class pre-nursery also performed a poem on caterpillars. Some of the children dressed up as yellow animals for example bee's. The day went by perfectly and the children enjoyed a lot.

OBSERVING FLOWERS

Class I was taken to nursery to a observe different plants and flowers . Teacher told them about different flowers . She told them that which flower grows in which season. They got to knew every information which they did not know. Teacher helped them a lot in this work. They went there because this topic was related to there subject Urdu. Students were too excited for this project. And they got to knew about different flowers.

TUCK SHOP ACTIVITY

To teach students about exchanging money a Tuck shop activity was held in class 2 in BeaconHouse School System.This activity was held on 16th October to tell students how to collect money and how to shop. Their teacher arranged a shop containing students' favorite things like chocolates,candies,biscuits,chips and wafers.Students excitedly participated in this activity and learnt how to shop. This was an excellent activity in which students and teachers both enjoyed.

EID GALA

Eid Gala was celebrated on 17th October 2008. It was celebrated with best of intentions. Parents were also invited on this glorious event. There were many competitions held on this event like singing competition and there were many games for students like truth and dare and musical chair. For parents there were games like musical chair and passing the pillow . This even was arranged properly for instance class rooms were decorated ans were looking very beautiful . Games were arranged properly for parents and students. Eveything was perfect. Teachers and school staff did alot of hardwork and it was seemed. Students brought scrumptious dishes from there homes and had a wonderful party. Every one enjoyed this function alot.

PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD!

There was an assembly held at Beaconhouse School System Sukkur which was conducted by Mr. Abid. The students of class 8 and class 7 participated in this. This assembly showed the different types of people in the world. They included:

THE SASH CEREMONY

There was a sash ceremony held at Beaconhouse School System Sukkur to award the student council with sachets. There were elections held before that to elect the student council. The sash's were presented by the branch head, Mrs. Doris Mazhar. There was one head boy and head girl, one deputy head boy and head girl, and then there were prefects from each class. These students promissed to work for the betterment of the school and work together to discipline the school. The members of the student council are as follows:

GLOBAL HAND WASHING DAY

Global Hand washing day was enthusiastically celebrated in Beaconhouse School System Sukkur on the day of 15th October 2008. Children were enthralled by this activity and they keenly participated in it. they showed their enthusiasm by writing poems, stories and by performing role plays. They also did campaign on the importance of washing hands properly. The students learned how to keep them selves protected from germs and how to wash their hands in the correct manner so they can stay clean and healthy. They learnt what these germs can do to them and how they can harm them. By learning this they now will never keep their hands dirty and will wash their hands after every meal and after playing. Teachers and students were extremely thrilled by this activity and showed full interest in it.

IQBAL DAY

Iqbal day was celebrated on the day of 9th November by the students of class 4.This was a tribute to our great National poet Allama Iqbal . Students of class of 4 keenly prepared an excellent assembly .They presented the famous poems of Iqbal like 'Hamdardi' and 'Dua' and told nicely about Iqbal and his achievements in the morning assembly.This was an admirable assembly that improved all students' confidence and ability of speaking.Students did a great deal of hard work for this assembly.They dressed greatly.Everyone enjoyed their assembly and praised their hardwork alot.In the end, they gave the message that we should not forget the struggles of our National Heroes done for Pakistan.And they said students to study hard for their Country Pakistan.

ELECTIONS FOR STUDENTS COUNCIL

Elections were held to elect the students council 2008. The election campaign started one week before the elections were supposed to be held. Sky high enthusiasm was shown by the students. The candidates made posters, badges and gave speeches in order to convince the people to vote for them. They started door to door (classroom to classroom) movements for the purpose. They even distributed candies and chocolates among the students.
